At FixoMate Pty Ltd., we retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and our service-specific documentation, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Here’s how we determine the retention period:

(a) Necessity and Purpose: We keep your information as long as necessary to provide you with the services you have requested, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

(b) Legal Requirements: We consider the requirements of applicable data protection laws, contractual obligations, and our business purposes in determining data retention.

(c) User Instructions: If you choose to delete your account, we will initiate the process of removing your personal data from our systems, except to the extent we need to retain it for the reasons stated above.

7.2 Retention of Anonymized Data

After your information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and subsequently processed, we may anonymize your information to remove any personal details, thereby preventing identification. This anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and other research purposes.

7.3 Specific Retention Practices

(a) Account Information: If you close your account, we will retain your personal information for a period of time necessary to fulfill our legal obligations and corporate requirements. This typically involves retaining the information for five years to comply with accounting and tax laws.

(a) Deletion Process: Upon expiration of the data retention periods, your personal data is securely deleted from our databases and systems in accordance with our data deletion procedures and applicable regulations.

(b) Requests for Data Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal information at any time, and we will evaluate such requests in accordance with applicable laws. If the law allows us to retain the data, we will explain the basis for this exception.

7.5 Security of Retained Data

We apply the same security measures and protections to your stored data as we do to personal information currently in use. This ensures that your data, whether active or archived, remains protected under the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Section 8: International Data Transfers

8.1 Overview of Data Transfers

FixoMate Pty Ltd. operates globally, which means your personal information may be processed, stored, and transferred to countries outside of your country of residence, including in the United States. Payment Processing Policy

Payment Handling via Stripe

(a) Transaction Processing: When we receive a debit or credit card payment from our customer, the payment processing is initiated through Stripe, our trusted payment processing partner. Stripe is responsible for handling all aspects of payment processing in compliance with their standards and regulations.

(b) Initial Transaction Delay: The first debit or credit card transaction received from a customer will take at least 7 business days to be transferred to your account. This initial holding period is necessary to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and to mitigate the risk of fraud.

(c) Subsequent Transactions: After the first payment has been successfully processed, all subsequent payments will be processed within 2 business days for transactions within Australia. This expedited timeline reflects the standard processing time following the initial transaction.

(d) Availability of Funds: Since payment processing is handled by Stripe and not directly by FixoMate Pty Ltd, we do not control when the funds are deposited into your account. Stripe independently manages the timing of all payment processing and direct deposits.

(e) Checking Payment Status: If you do not see the funds in your bank account as expected, please log into your Stripe Dashboard to review the current status of your payments. The dashboard provides detailed information about each transaction, including processing stages and any potential delays.

(f) Responsibility and Inquiries: For any issues or inquiries related to payment processing, please contact Stripe’s support directly, as they are best equipped to address payment processing concerns. FixoMate Pty Ltd provides this information for transparency and does not assume responsibility for the operations of third-party payment processors.
